BEYOND joined the projects frESCO and MODERATE in a joint workshop in the context of Sustainable Places 2022. Sustainable Places series is an annual event targeting to address all issues related to sustainability targets and climate change objectives that cannot be met without addressing buildings and the built environment at the building. During the Sustainable places event, results from projects implemented in the framework of the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme were presented.
BEYOND participated in the workshop under the name “Measuring building performance and adding operational rating” which took place on the 7th of September. The workshop was organized in a hybrid format and gathered 64 online participants and 30 physical participants (94 participants in total). It was mainly directed to ESCOs, DSOs Public Authorities, the Construction Industry, District Heating Network Operators, Energy Retailers and Aggregators and other stakeholders in the energy sector and buildings performance. On behalf of the BEYOND project, SUITE5 as the Technical coordinator, participated in and presented the project.
Through this workshop, we presented the BEYOND solution in relation to the energy performance and a specific focus was given to the Smart Readiness Certification and the relevant app that BEYOND will use to provide valuable information (mainly to aggregators and electricity retailers) on the capabilities of buildings with the scope to provide advanced flexibility services to energy networks or to enjoy advance smart building and non-energy services.
